    GIANT Hypermarket CHEATS

Have you been to Giant Hypermarket Kolombong? Or other Giant branch? I had been there (Kolombong) and the other Giant branches for years now. And I  never felt fully satisfied with the services, pricing, and products. I am not sure if you ever felt cheated by the way the premise display the price on the shelf.

People as aged as I am  could easily be betrayed by the price tag on the shelf. There was once when I needed  a bottle of drinking water because I have to take my medication. There, loud and clear stated on the drinking water shelf RM 0.80. I grabbed a bottle and when it was scanned at the payment counter it was actually RM 0.99. I argued with the staff there but they simply put me in the wrong side when they started saying, "Ada TULIS ba sana!" [It's WRITTEN there!]. I said, you put the price tag for other brand but you  display another brand on the shelf. And then, they simply said: "Oh, habis sudah yang itu." [O, that one is sold out]. How ridiculous!

On some other times, I saw them put a wrong price tag on some vegetables. It was between two different vegetables. One was about RM 2.00 per kilogram, and the other was RM 2.00 per gram. How do think? If people in a hurry just grab it and pay at the counter without noticing the tag initially? Don't you agree with me if I would say it is definitely CHEATING! But, I realised that they keep on repeating the same 'MISTAKES'. Oh! Bullshit!

And, I started to learn their 'MARKETING STRATEGY'. So, when the price was different from what shown on the shelf or even ON THE PRODUCT itself when they are scanned at the payment counter, I just left them there. I only paid for what is right for me!

After some time, I am a bit ease to shop at Giant premises. When the worst is still awaiting to burst!

Here it is. After work, I decided to buy a bottle of pet shampoo. So I thought I could get it from Giant Hypermarket Kolombong. I am not familiar with the premise product section so I asked the staff one after another. They had just recently rearranged the shelf. I am not satisfied when they were reluctant to show where exactly I could find the shampoo just because I was looking for "Syampu untuk ANJING" [DOG shampoo]. Hey! Come on. I breathe in OXYGEN so as my Dog. SCIENCE, please. Although I am not good at the subject.

Here  comes  the disaster! My OKU daughter was fascinated to her reflection in the mirror. So she stepped closer and touched on one of the framed mirror. She put it down. Ok. Almost instantly a mirror on the lower shelf cracked! I grabbed her by the hand and leave. But the girl staff followed us saying that my daughter cracked the mirror. I said no. How can it be? She was touching the mirror on the upper shelf not the one which has cracked! She said the mirror cracked when we were nearby it. She forced us to pay for it. I had to pay so as not wanting any problem with the security! The price was RM 27.99. Rounded is RM 28.00. That was what said earlier before we reached the payment counter. Well, she was good enough to allow her staff privilege 10% discounts for us to pay the cracked mirror. With the security threatening look on us I paid RM 25.19 (Rounded to RM 25.20). "Nah! Sudah saya kasi diskaun itu!" [There! You are given discount for it!]. If I had a choice, who would want to buy a WORST QUALITY of mirror at Giant? NEVER! If you doubt me, go and try to have a look at their mirror. Exactly, the framed mirror sized 12" X 36". Let me know if I am wrong.

I am not satisfied because not only I had to pay for the cracked mirror but most importantly I HAD TO SKIP LUNCH since I am on a very tight budget. Poor me. Pity on my daughter. We left the premise with the unwrapped cracked mirror. I asked for anything to wrap the mirror but they have nothing. Not even  any big sized plastic bag. They simply say "TIADA." [NONE].

But, here is my warning! GIANT will be no more. I won't buy anything from it. Doesn't matter if it is not Giant in Kolombong. As long as it is Giant premises or branches. Go to hell!

News, Talks, Claims and Whispers around 'WAR begins in Sabah Sulu Sultanate with Malaysia - March 1'

Take it! Like it or not, believe it or not, this has started. I am not of any mentions to comment.

Surely, the Sabahans who are in the state of being careful at all times. SMSes from relatives and friends are pouring in to us in the capital. Like this one, '[ ... ] mti la! Sa trprgkp d opis, drurt uda sren plis sru plg tup prms n bnk]' ( ... we're dead. I couldn't get out of the office. The police are alerting with siren. Ordered to close the premises and banks) says one text from a friend's older sister who is siding in Lahad Datu at the moment. Expressing her fear for the situation.

Another sharing from a friend who owned a restaurant next to a car wash run by the people roots originating from the Philippines had dare to add in our uneasiness by saying, 'Orang yang pandai cakap Pilipin saja yang kami tidak bunuh' (Only those who speaks the Philippines language won't be killed). Well, I have heard such a story a couple of decades ago. And when I heard of it again it is at this situation. And they said that only last night!

A friend of mine whose husband is a reporter at the stand-off talked about her husband been there since the very first day of the group occupying a village there. And managed to get a bit of the current situation when I eavesdropped to their conversation through the phone call. Although  Kadazandusun language is not my mother tongue but I could understand a lot of the language. It says, 'Now, there has been 15 Filipinos and 4 Malaysians are dead'.

I also made a phone call to my younger sister whose husband is serving with the Malaysian Armed Force. She talked about the Sulu Sultanate claimants followers who actually first captured a PGA member. And that was the reason for the armed forces to stay alert at all times. They are briefed to be ready should the situation got worst and the battalions of army are heading towards the scene at no time.

I don't feel it is the time for me to just ignore things. I forwarded a text from a friend who is actually being nearby the group clash to my husband. Trying to make him understand that our daughter's school is only next to the Philippines descendants settlements which was moved from the Pulau Gaya settlements about a decade ago. And if things don't look good for me, I, myself would drive there to fetch my daughter.

If it is no time to wait, I made a phone call to my younger brother who is currently serving with the Malaysian Armed Forces. I couldn't get through. I tried to contact my sister-in-law, and her number couldn't be reached at the moment. I felt restless. I tried my niece's number, and there at the other end I heard her voice telling me she is at school. I tried as much as I can to be calm by asking whether or not her mother is at home. She said 'yes'. I asked about her Daddy, she said that her father is away to Kuala Lumpur and only be back late today. Oh! Thank God.

And this is the reason of my restlessness. WAR begins in Sabah Sulu Sultanate with Malaysia - March 1 | Rebuilding for the Better Philippines . Try to look at the pageview counter! It changes every second. And still counting on !....
